This last weekend we finally had some time to work in our yard and actually spend time together as a family and with friends. We have been so busy that it was good to finally have some time. We added some shrubs to our backyard(didn't get pictures yet) and then went over to our friends to swim and have hamburgers and hot dogs. Although we enjoyed a nice weekend I cannot help but think of why we celebrate this holiday. I am grateful to all those who have served and who are currently serving our country. Because of these brave men and women we can enjoy the freedoms this country provides!

I am jealous that you actually did something on Memorial Day. I love picnics and bbqs, and I didn't do a darn thing that day but clean my house....how lame am I?!
