Caleb and the church play

Caleb has been a part of a play our church has put on. We have always thought that drama and acting would be great for him and he has had such a good time being involved with this. He has met new people and made new friends. He was in the part in the play where they were on the boat coming from England to America. He got to dance with all the girls! Great job Caleb!

Memorial Day

This last weekend we finally had some time to work in our yard and actually spend time together as a family and with friends. We have been so busy that it was good to finally have some time. We added some shrubs to our backyard(didn't get pictures yet) and then went over to our friends to swim and have hamburgers and hot dogs. Although we enjoyed a nice weekend I cannot help but think of why we celebrate this holiday. I am grateful to all those who have served and who are currently serving our country. Because of these brave men and women we can enjoy the freedoms this country provides!

Graduation

This weekend we were able to celebrate Dave and his accomplishment of finishing his Master's degree! My parents were able to come and celebrate with us. Dave's parents weren't able to come due to medical reasons but I know they wish they could have been there. The ceremony was good and it was great to see the smile on Dave's face! We are so proud of him and the whole family is happy that we don't have to compete with homework anymore! Congratulations Dave!

Driver's Beware!

Zach just got his driver's permit yesterday!!! After begging me to drive I finally gave in and let him get behind the wheel. I don't who was more nervous, him or me! He has driven in the neighborhood with Dave but today was his first time on the main roads. He did great! I am happy to say that I did great too!! I didn't scream! With Zach driving I feel really old! It seems like just yesterday I was his age asking my parents if I could drive the old blue Datsun! Time flies!
