First Day of Spring Break.

I know that this what Christmas break would look like. But we live in Spokane! It is free skiing at the mountain this entire week so Dave and the boys talked me into going up skiing today and it was one of those things that once I got there I had fun. The weather was perfect! It was sunny and beautiful in the morning then the clouds rolled in. This was Jacob and Caleb's first time skiing and only my second time. Caleb was the only one who didn't quite have a great time.(you can't tell from the picture at all!) He traded in for a snowboard since he had tried that before and had a little more fun. Jacob did great!! He was a total natural on the hill. I did get the hang of it and had a much better time! Dave and Zach had a good time and are great skiiers! They left us on the bunny hill and did all the other runs. It helps to be in good shape! Notice that Kelsie(the lover of snow) was not in the picture. She is actually in Utah with Lizzy all week. We miss her but I am sure she is having a blast!

"O" So Amazing!!!

So I am finally getting to sharing our trip to Las Vegas. We had a great time. I forgot the camera in the hotel so I didn't get very many pictures. So the memories will have to live in my mind. Las Vegas is a very busy and crazy place. I don't know if we will be going there for our next family vacation, but it was good to get away and enjoy the warmer weather! (65 degrees and beautiful!) Dave and I spent Friday night at the Las Vegas Temple. What a beautiful place! I know leave it to me to go to Vegas and spend the first night at the temple. But that is actually where I felt the most comfortable. The next day we went on a "road trip". Dave got directions to Hoover Dam which was only a 45 minute drive from where we were at. After about 1 1/2 hours and no signs or anything we figured out we went the wrong way. We were half way to Los Angelas! We did see some great desert and catus and we stopped at some Outlet mall for some shopping! Saturday night we went to the show "O" which was playing at the Bellagio. This was an amazing show and I encourage everyone to see it!! This is the show that they have made the stage into a water! We splurged and got really good seats and I am so glad we did! Sunday we attempted again to go to Hoover Dam. This time we knew where to go and amazingly there were signs all over the place telling us how much farther to the Dam. I am so glad to say I have now been to Las Vegas. I am amazed at the huge hotels and all the people that come! I could do without the smoking and the gambling and the guys on the street with the stupid cards but I guess that is what makes people come to Vegas. I wish I could go to more shows and see more of the sights around Las Vegas! I was happy to spend time with Dave and I am so glad I didn't have to worry about my kids! Thanks mom and dad!!!

Viva Las Vegas!

This is actually a post card because I forgot to bring the camera everywhere we went!We stayed at this hotel. The New York New York. There was a roller coaster right outside our window! It was cool but kindof noisy.

I did remember to take the camera to Hoover Dam. So these are the only pictures I have. This place was so cool! We went on the tour which took you down below the water. Everything was so huge!
It was amazing to me that this was built in the 1900's.

Dave is standing in Nevada and I am standing in Arizona! How could two people be so close yet so far away?!
