Family, Friends and Fireworks

We had a great 4th of July! We spent the first part of the day doing home improvements. Actually Dave did most of the work. He painted the downstairs and I went through piles of our junk to take to goodwill. Fun times! Later that night we went over to our friends for a swim and had a barbeque. We then took everyone downtown to Riverfront Park. They have a jazz band that plays and then the fireworks show. There were so many people but although crowds in Spokane are not my favorite it was fun to be together, eat mini doughnuts and snow cones and watch the fireworks. They were actually pretty good this year! The patriotic music is my favorite part and they had the music playing as the fireworks were displayed. It was a great day.

Sounds like a working holiday! I am glad you guys had fun. Josh & I are leaving for home in the next few days, so we will miss you. I am so sad we could not have coordinated better. We need to go back and get some routines established and take the girls in for check ups (no insurance here). Sorry we will miss you, we hope to see you someday soon.
